Accountable Healthcare Staffing is committed to supporting our healthcare professionals as we all continue to navigate this pandemic and the uncertainty that comes with it. Following are a few common questions we’ve received and some answers we can provide now.
Q: Will Accountable Healthcare Staffing provide vaccinations for healthcare professionals?
A: No. We are not a healthcare provider and do not expect to receive the vaccine. Instead, the healthcare facilities that healthcare professionals serve have the capabilities to safely store and administer the vaccine to our frontline clinical professionals and report to the state and national databases.
Q: Can the vaccine cause COVID-19?
A: No. None of the COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized for use or in development in the United States use the live virus that causes COVID-19.
Q: Will Accountable Healthcare Staffing healthcare professionals be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine?
A: While there may be clients who seek to require healthcare professionals to be vaccinated, Accountable Healthcare Staffing will not require you to get a COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of placement. That said, the CDC strongly recommends that healthcare professionals get vaccinated.
Q: Will clients require the COVID-19 vaccine?
A: So far, none of the facilities we serve have told us that they will require healthcare professionals to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but this may change. The administration of the vaccine to frontline clinical professionals is determined by the healthcare facilities.
Q: Will Clients offer the COVID vaccine to healthcare professionals, even if it’s not required?
A: This is per facility. Each healthcare facility has oversight over how it’s managing the administration of the vaccine. If you receive a vaccination while on assignment, we ask that you provide a copy of the vaccination documentation for our file.
Q: What if I have more questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and its distribution to healthcare professionals?
A: We will continue to update you with information as it is available to us. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Accountable Healthcare Staffing representative. We’d also direct you to the following resources from the CDC:
